Frankenbench
Overview
Kind of a silly project, that took me several weeks since I just randomly screwed on parts when I was bored. It's just a simple bench to sit on, and also it holds a large chunk of my hand tools
Construction
Parts:
- Furring strips, these were incredibly bent pieces of wood I had in my scrap pile
- Whatever nails and screws I had lying around
- A slightly bigger roughly 1'x3' board for the seat
- Some batting and scrap fabric my wife had
- Drill (To make screw guide holes)
- Screwdriver
- Cheapy miter box with backsaw
- Hot glue gun(For attaching fabric, staples would work too)
- Hammer
Really this isn't intended to be a full reproducible write-up, but just to show even without any planning whatsoever and using nothing but junk laying around, something functional(Although far from pretty) can be made pretty easily.

First I started making a simple sawhorse design, but it was a failure since the legs ended up meeting too close at the bottom making the whole thing a giant teeter-totter. Also the hard, sharp-cornered wood was quite painful to sit on:
So since it looked like crap anyway I added more legs, semi-shelves underneath, drilled some holes to hold parts, rounded the seat edges, and added nails to hang parts on:

Next I spray painted it black and then had my wife help me upholster(We screwed up a bit on one side with all the pliers). Some pics of the finished product:
