Guess What...I'm Busy

My weekly, I'm busy entry. Tons of stuff going on at work, so I'm really limited in my home hobby time. As always I'm keeping tabs on what I plan to do with the site. I finished about half of my todo list, although at the rate of half the list per week I'll never finish.

My main goals are: the banhammer script, a beginner's tutorial on PICs, and the C side of the domain coloring. I have a ton of other projects I want to do the main one being a computer version of the Tenori-On. I was thinking of using the Wii-mote as input(Just have it act as a mouse). The main limit is only 1 pointer, since the device is normally touched with 2 hands, while manipulating the side switches. There is a cool flash based thing that is similar, but far less feature rich.

My main issue is how to get out real-time sound. I tried with the Perl RMG, but that didn't really work, and sounded so crappy I took it off the site. I would really like to use SDL but I can't find any way to output midi without doing a full file. My current plan is to dissect some of the Open Source music synth software and see how they do it.
